Family-owned Iberostar Hotels & Resorts really knows how to turn it up a notch. Whether you’re in search of a family holiday, a couple’s retreat or travelling solo, if you want all the glamour of great accommodation with the ease of an all-inclusive, plus sun-drenched beaches, fine dining experiences and pampering wellness sessions, then you need look no further.

Iberostar Selection Llaut Palma

Why visit? On the calmer curve of Playa de Palma’s golden beach, and only minutes from Palma – the island’s oldest and largest town – this five-star, adults-only dream has balcony sights of pine forest cradling a sparkling sea, and spacious, airy interiors that are equally serene. Expect tranquil green colour schemes and foliage, and fine dining amongst the stars at rooftop Asian fusion restaurant Katagi Blau (the fillet of amberjack with red prawns hollandaise is a must). Treat yourself with a trip to the spa’s Turkish bath, ice fountain and underwater bubble bed.

Look out forA range of complimentary exercise classes, from Pilates to salsa dancing, which are best followed by some time in the indoor pool, Jacuzzi, saunas and Turkish bath.

Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa

Why visit? Outside, the towering grasses and lulling wetlands of Albufera Nature Reserve, and pearl-sand Playa de Muro beach (hailed as one of the best in the world), set the scene; inside, it’s the peaceful centenary trees and olive groves, and views of Alcudia Bay. The recently revamped resort, made up of two hotels (the other being Iberostar Selection Albufera Park) sharing seven pools and ten restaurants, gives a new meaning to all-inclusive, having luxuries for adult travellers and kids alike, including swim-up rooms that are as pretty as they are playful, plus speciality Mexican, Greek and Spanish restaurants with child-friendly hours, and mini yet epic waterparks for kids.

Look out for: The daily schedule of activities (listed on the hotel’s phone app) – you can play your hand at poker, polish your water aerobics or see what’s on at the children’s disco.
