Five unlikely epic drives

The son of an Australian rally champion, Gavin Green was a successful racing driver in the late 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, before swapping the driver’s seat for journalism. He went on to edit Car magazine and is now one of Britain’s best-known motoring writers. Though he now races bicycles rather cars, Gavin  a Silver Executive Club Member – still enjoys the thrill of four wheels. Here he shares his most memorable drives, from Sydney to Sicily.
