January

Kick-start the year with a British Airways American Express^® Card
January marks the perfect time to form smarter finance habits, and tapping away on a British Airways American Express Credit Card means your everyday spends accrue perks pertaining to your favourite pastime: travel. Enjoy 1 Avios per £1 on the Credit Card (with no annual fee) or consider taking out the Premium Plus Card to collect 1.5 Avios per £1 spent. We’d act fast – Executive Club Members applying before 20 February 2024 can collect a whopping 50,000 Avios Welcome Bonus when spending £3,000 in the first three months on the Premium Plus Card,¹ or 12,000 Avios for £1,000 spent in the first three months on the Credit Card.²

February

Treat your special someone (even if that someone is you)
This Valentine’s Day, pocket a little something for yourself while lighting up the one you love thanks to a host of Avios-collecting gifts. Duty Free, for instance, is a world of lovey-dovey delights: shelves stacked with designer perfumes, countertops brimming with high-end beauty finds, and giant towers of chocolates. Luckily for us, you can now collect Avios when spending at London Heathrow’s World Duty Free shops.
Bonus tip: Travelling via Heathrow soon? Collect a bonus 250 Avios by linking your Red By Dufry – World Duty Free’s loyalty programme – and your British Airways Executive Club accounts, and make a qualifying transaction at any World Duty Free store within the airport. Your airport buys will turn into holidays before you know it.

March

Convert Nectar points into Avios ahead of the Easter weekend
Two loyalty schemes are better than one – and two loyalty programmes that work together are the best of all. That’s what’s on offer thanks to our partnership with Nectar. It means you can convert 400 Nectar points – collected on Easter lunch goodies from Sainsbury’s, and other regular Nectar haunts such as eBay, Argos and homeware brand Habitat – for a tidy 250 Avios each time. Simply sign up to Nectar (if you haven’t already) and link it to your Executive Club account.  
Bonus tip: Keep an eye on the Nectar app – it’s full of bonus offers to get even more points. 

April

Spring-clean your subscriptions
Did you know you can simply buy Avios, and that the longer (or larger) the subscription, the better value you’ll get out of it? There are four packages – Voyager, Traveller, Explorer and Adventurer – that can be applied to a monthly or yearly subscription, from £26 a month and £259 a year. Via this method, you can save up to 44% compared to buying Avios on a one-off basis. The best-value package sees you collect 200,000 Avios annually, or 16,667 every month – more than enough Avios for a late-summer Club Europe or Club World trip.
Bonus tip: Curious about buying Avios on a one-off basis? You can purchase between 2,000 to 200,000 Avios per calendar year.

Restock the bar for the double Bank Holiday with The Wine Flyer
Discover what is surely soon to be your favourite online wine cellar at The Wine Flyer, an Avios-fuelled service that drops a carefully curated selection of bottles at your door and gives you Avios with purchases. It offers better-value subscriptions, too. On all available bottles, you’re looking at 5 Avios for every £1 spent. Restock your racks or gift a box to someone you love – while saving a stash of Avios to spend on your next trip (or bottle – as this is a great place to spend Avios, too).

June

Top up your account halfway through the year with Avios for Thoughts
They say the best things in life are free, and this way to collect Avios is one of our favourites because it requires no spending at all. Avios for Thoughts allows you to collect Avios by sharing your opinions and habits through short online questionnaires. You can collect 500 Avios today for signing up and completing your first survey, as well as a bonus 100 when you complete the initial welcome tutorial – which will take less than two minutes. 
Bonus tip: As per Avios expiry rules, you need to collect or spend at least one Avios every 36 months – filling out a ten-minute survey is an easy way to keep your Avios collection active. 

July

Staycation in style and earn points with bp
You can’t beat a big British road trip, and there’s no better time weather–wise to make the most of our glorious countryside than the Great British Summer. Pack up the car, load up on fuel at any bp petrol station on the way, and add Avios to the bank. Once linked with your Executive Club account, BPme Rewards – bp’s loyalty scheme – will allow you to take every 40 BPme Rewards Points earned and turn them into a steady 25 Avios. 
Bonus tip: Don’t just stop at fuel – you can also collect BPme Rewards Points by stocking up on snacks for the journey, too.

August

Triple your collections with the Balance Booster
If you haven’t looked at the Balance Booster by the peak of the year, you might well be missing out, for it can boost the Avios you have previously collected for a value price. The Balance Booster bumps up the Avios you’ve collected in the last 30 days, multiplying them by up to three times their value, often for a smidge of the cost of buying Avios outright. 
Bonus tip: Yes, you can boost all the Avios you’ve collected through the British Airways shopping portal within the last 30 days, but you can also choose eligible individual transactions in order to boost the Avios made on specific purchases. For example, all the Avios you may have collected when buying a new MacBook. 

September

Have an Avios adventure with British Airways Holidays
Late-summer sales are the perfect opportunity to book a great-value package with British Airways Holidays – all hotels are vetted and holiday packages are ATOL protected, with 23kg baggage included per person. Choose from thousands of carefully selected hotels, car hire and even sightseeing experiences to make up the perfect trip – and collect one bonus Avios for every £1 spent (plus double Tier Points until 31 December 2024).
Bonus tip: You can continue to collect Avios on any further individual add-ons to your package – it’s a fully flexible affair.

Be the most organised for Christmas, thanks to our shopping portal
From Hotel Chocolat stocking fillers all the way to surprising someone with some long-lasting tech from Currys, our very own shopping portal allows you to collect Avios when shopping online at more than 1,500 major retailers, covering everything from clothes and fashion to food and drink, electricals, travel, insurance and more. Team it up with Black Friday (29 November 2024) to capitalise on the deals. 
Bonus tip: At the checkout, use your British Airways American Express Credit Card to make sure you’re collecting even more Avios during the shop. 

December

Collect as you Uber home from your festive parties
In a month jam-packed with get-togethers and travelling home for the holidays, Uber can help you keep your cool this December while also collecting you those precious Avios as you ride. Whether you’re flying home for Christmas and pre-booking that all-important trip to the airport or whizzing to and from the office party in your finest get-up, make Uber your go-to, Avios-collecting service.
Bonus tip: Only the railways separating you from your family’s Christmas dinner? Trains on the UK’s national rail system can be booked through the Uber app at the same rate – 1 Avios for every £1 spent.
