A brand-new route to Agadir, a triumphant return to London Stansted, exclusive Avios rewards and the exciting opportunity to become an England Rugby mascot

Earn Tier Points with the British Airways American Express® Premium Plus Card
Our British Airways American Express® Cards have always equalled Avios in the bank but, for a limited time only, the Premium Plus Card could see you ascend the Executive Club Tiers, too. It marks the first time ever that you can gain Tier Points without a flight booking in sight. How does it work? Until 21 May 2024, the Premium Plus Card will see you accumulate up to 200 Tier Points simply by spending on the Card. It breaks down as follows:

  • 100 Tier Points if you spend £15,000
  • An additional 50 Tier Points will be awarded if you spend a further £5,000 (totalling £20,000)
  • A final 50 Tier Points will be awarded if you spend another £5,000 (totalling £25,000)

For context, Bronze membership requires 300 Tier Points, and will get you benefits such as free seat selection seven days before flying, priority boarding, use of Club Europe and Club World check-in desks and more. Cardmembers must enrol for the offer (enrolment closes on 20 May 2024) on your Online Account, and the spending must take place after your enrolment and before 21 May 2024.

Representative 113.1% APR variable. Terms and conditions apply.

We partner with SigncodeUK to offer a range of signed videos
Thanks to SigncodeUK – an organisation dedicated to ensuring equal access to information and services for the deaf and hard of hearing community – we’ve been able to launch five signed videos, including our on-board safety briefing. The first video offers an overview of the British Airways travel journey, including the booking process, airport experience, on-board services and in-flight entertainment. A second set of four videos focuses on the on-board safety and procedures: two videos for short-haul flights and two for long-haul flights that are in both British Sign Language (BSL) and American Sign Language (ASL). You can watch these videos before you travel or pick them up via a QR code from the cabin crew, who will also still be able to provide a personalised safety briefing on board.

You can now collect Avios at World Duty Free in Heathrow
Calling all Executive Club Members: shopping at World Duty Free in London Heathrow is – at last – a collection ground for those all-important Avios. Whether you’re treating yourself to sunglasses, skincare, fragrances or fashion, you’ll collect 1 Avios per £1 spent in any World Duty Free shop across all of Heathrow’s terminals. To unlock this benefit, simply sign up to Red By Dufry, World Duty Free’s loyalty programme, and enter your Executive Club details into the app. Avios will be awarded to you within 72 hours of each eligible purchase, and a bonus of 250 Avios will be available on your first shop. As always, if you pay on your British Airways American Express® Credit Card, you can effectively double the amount of Avios collected in one fail swoop.

Say hello to exciting new routes
From 18 May 2024, enjoy weekend flights to Florence, Ibiza and Nice from London Stansted, courtesy of BA CityFlyer’s sleek Embraer 190 aircraft. This revival marks our first scheduled flights from Stansted since the pandemic, expanding our London footprint back to four airports from the city.

We’re also adding more sunshine to our short-haul network with the launch of Agadir as the latest destination from London Gatwick. Starting on 31 March 2024, BA Euroflyer, our Gatwick-based short-haul subsidiary, will operate four weekly flights to this Moroccan coastal haven. After a decade-long hiatus, Agadir is once again promising sun-soaked days and a vibrant mix of beaches, golf courses, water sports and cultural landmarks.

Finally, it’s all about Eastern Europe charms and UAE-extravagance as we launch daily flights to Abu Dhabi from London Heathrow (beginning on 20 April 2024) and have already welcomed three direct weekly flights to the cultural gems of Riga and Belgrade.
