Did you know that you can use Avios to part pay for regular British Airways flights? Sarah Thompson, British Airways’ campaign project manager, reveals how
As a Member of the Executive Club you may be aware that as well as booking reward flights or upgrades using your Avios you can also use Avios to part pay for regular British Airways flights within the UK or to Europe.
You can start to make savings on flights with as little as 750 Avios, which would enable you to save £5pp off a one-way ticket or use 1,500 Avios to save £10pp on a return flight. Currently you can save up to £50pp on a return flight in Euro Traveller and £100pp on a return in our premium cabin – Club Europe.
Using Avios in this way also means you earn Avios and Tier Points on the flights booked - allowing you to start collecting Avios towards your next flight saving.
It’s a great option for families and smaller groups of friends too as savings are applicable for up to nine people travelling on the same booking. This means for example a family of four can save up to £200 on a return flight.
It is really simple to book using Avios part payment. When you are in the process of booking a flight on ba.com, without a hotel or ancillary package, you will be offered part payment options on the price page.
