Marriott Bonvoy: where stays get rewarded

In the world of hospitality, loyalty schemes are ten a penny. But only select schemes will allow you to convert your points into British Airways’ Avios, and Marriott Bonvoy is one of them. Best of all, until 12 December 2021 you can get even more points – and Avios – for your buck...

That’s right, ending the year on a major Avios boost is well within reach, thanks to any one of Marriott’s myriad hotels. Spanning 30 distinctive brands, properties from the four corners of the globe are encompassed in the hotel’s rewards programme, which offers points for every night booked. And what could be better than being rewarded for sleeping?

Right now, those who register with Marriott Bonvoy can get 1,500 bonus points per hotel stay, plus 3,000 additional points at All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy resorts. You can go wild, too, since there’s no limit on how many stays you can earn bonus points on before the offer ends on 21 December 2021.

Register before 28 November 2021 to get your bonus Marriott Bonvoy points

These bumper points can be changed into Avios at a tempting 3:1 conversion rate: that means 120,000 Marriott Bonvoy points would convert into a juicy 40,000 Avios. On top of this, an extra 5,000 bonus Avios will land into your account for every 60,000 points you convert.

Have a destination in mind and want to get in the action? Just register before 28 November 2021 and check in between now and 12 December 2021 to get those trusty points. For those who don’t have a spot already in mind, Marriott’s best new openings for November might help you decide…

Matild Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Budapest
Fancy a winter weekender? This brand-new hotel (pictured above) in Budapest will do the job. And while it may be a Marriott newbie, the property itself is nothing short of iconic, built in 1902 and a Belle Époque landmark from the get-go. As with all the Luxury Collection hotels, this palatial number combines lavishly historic surroundings with intimate, authentic experiences and is already raking in the five-star reviews. Soak up Danube views, drinks beneath the stars at the rooftop bar and book in for an unforgettable feast at its fine dining hotspot, Spago by Wolfgang Puck.

W Rome
It’s all fun and games at W, which has provided fabulous, flirty, sometimes futuristic hotel experiences since its first opening in New York back in 1998. This thoroughly modern hotel brand creates a glorious contrast in the Eternal City with the newly unveiled W Rome, just 15 minutes from the 18th-century Trevi Fountains and Villa Borghese. Inside, rooms are named after the utterances they inspire – ‘WOW’, ‘Extreme WOW’ (pictured top of page), ‘Spectacular’ and the like – with mustard accents and rooftop terraces. Best of all is the wet deck – a place to kick-back, chill out and soak up some Roman sun.

Moscow Marriott Imperial Plaza
From Russia with love comes this new majestic Marriott (pictured above), which will bring Art Deco flair, city centre convenience and business facilities aplenty to your next Moscow mega-break. Newly opened and already swelling its suited and booted clientele, the tone is set by a towering teal staircase, marbled bathrooms and twinkling chandeliers above the dining room, while conference rooms bring about the hotel’s corporate edge. If the vibe wasn’t luxurious enough already, an exclusive M-Club lounge (dedicated to Marriott Members and guests of the higher room categories) provides the perfect setting for breakfast, snacky hors d’oeuvres and wine.
