Introducing the ‘Heineken Legends’

ADVERTORIAL • September 2015

Win a trip to Rugby World Cup 2015

Heineken is rewarding passionate fans around the world with a unique VIP experience

The roaring crowds, the lush green pitch, the smell of British soil… If you want to get closer to the action, you’re in luck.

As a worldwide partner of Rugby World Cup 2015, Heineken is offering fans the opportunity to take a step closer. From a chance to chat with the players on social media, to being part of an official coin toss, you could be doing more than just watching the game on TV.

In the run up to the Tournament in September, Heineken will host live events for fans across the UK, in support of Rugby World Cup 2015 Trophy Tour. These events will give fans the chance to get a closer look at the Webb Ellis Cup in their local pub, as well as the chance to be part of an official coin toss before a Rugby World Cup game.

Will you be one of 48 lucky fans who win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to open a match by attending the official coin toss prior to kick off? Heineken will be using the Trophy Tour as a chance to search for the world’s most passionate rugby lovers.

As well as this ultimate prize, Heineken will be providing an alternative perspective on Rugby World Cup 2015 during the Tournament. Take part in the ultimate ‘second screen experience’ – the Heineken Rugby Studio – a digital review show taking place on social media.

A host of international rugby legends have been drafted into the Studio, led by ex-All Black superstar, Jonah Lomu, and former England captain, Will Carling.

Joining them are former South Africa captain John Smit, England’s Matt Dawson, former players Scott Quinnell, Shane Horgan, and former Australia captain Rocky Elsom

These ‘Heineken Legends’ will be supported by a number of special guests, who will offer opinion and an irreverent look at the major talking points of Rugby World Cup 2015. Fans will be invited to take part in the action using the #ItsYourCall hashtag.
